 Musix

Musix Linux is a favorite job of Argentine musician Marcos Guglielmetti. Musix inherits the Knoppix, Kanotix, Debian, and other mixers. After the Integrated Package Manager is installed, you can open Musix and download any applications compatible with the Debian system. As a Knoppix-based Linux system, its CD disk has a startup option to copy system files to a directory on the hard disk. This is like providing a CD disk with better performance. Compared with other Linux systems, a variety of multimedia tools are added to the Musix desktop, including Timidity, Bristol, Qsynth, and Rosegarden. Internet applications include Iceweasel, aMSN (MSN chat tool), BitTorrent, Konquerer, amule (Point-to-Point file sharing software), and KDE emails. In addition, the graphic desktop provides xine, gimp, xaos (irregular computing and display), Image Browsing tools, and others.

Multimedia functions are the most intensive on the Musix system desktop, which is also the basis for the survival and continued development of Musix. The Rosegarden music creation environment is like a gem on the Musix multimedia desktop crown. It has its own sub-menu and links to 20 different startup configurations. Different plug-ins are loaded for each configuration: Hydrogen, Qsynth, and ZynaddsubFX synthesizer. Rosegarden is a large software package with great creative capabilities.
