In linux, the tool similar to DUMeter-general Linux technology-Linux technology and application information is described below. I wanted to find a linux tool similar to du meter and found gDesklets. GDesklets provides an advanced architecture for desktop applets-a small display on the desktop that is pleasing to the eye and useful.

1. Install gdesklets (FC7)
Yum install gdesklets

2. Install gauges-upgrade let
: Http://gdesklets.zencomputer.ca/#G

Decompress:
Cd/usr/share/gdesklets
Tar-zxvf/tmp/gauges-desklet-0.52.tar.gz

3. Run gdesklets (must be a common user)
Gdesklets start
Gdesklets open/usr/share/gdesklets/Displays/gauges-expose let/net. display

In this way, a bell icon is displayed on the desktop to show inbound and outbound traffic.

Of course, gdesklets can also run other applets.
