The emacs font in linux is no longer a day or two. Today we finally got it done. Use the Chinese open source font wenquanyi. The results are still very good. Don't use simsun any more.
Installation steps:
1. Install the wenquanyi font, which has been installed by default in F8. If you want to install it manually, run yum-y install wqy-bitmap-fonts.
2. Run fc-list to check whether "Wenquanyi Bitmap Song" is listed. If not, run fc-cache.
3. Execute xlsfonts to check whether there are items similar to '-wenquanyi bitmap song-medium-r-normal -- 0-0-75-75-p-0-gbk-0'. If not, add the path:
Xset + fp/usr/share/fonts/wenquanyi/bitmap
2nd items are for the xft system, and 3rd items are for the X core font system.
The current emacs uses the core font by default. Therefore, if your emacs does not use xft, you can simply follow step 1.
