Enable FTP service in Centos

Step 1: # chkconfigvsftpdon // start the vsftpd service at startup Step 2: #/etc/init. d/vsftpdstart // start the vsftpd service Step 3: # vi/etc/vsftpd. conf // edit the vsftp configuration file to find the following and disable it: anonymous_enable = NO // disable anonymous user login Step 1: # chkconfig vsftpd on // start vsftpd service on startup
Step 2: #/etc/init. d/vsftpd start // enable the vsftpd service
Step 3: # vi/etc/vsftpd. conf // edit the vsftp configuration file
Find the following and disable it:
Anonymous_enable = NO // disable anonymous user login
Add another row:
Local_enable = YES // enable local user login
Step 4: Create a user
# Adduser-d/var/ftp/test-g ftp-s/sbin/nologin test
# Passwd test
Step 5:
Iptables firewall settings
# System-config-securitylevel
Select ftp in the customization.
