[ERROR] Distributed Deployment scom installation Error--report Services instance invalid

General experimental environment, the SQL Server and the scom server installed on a machine, just pay attention to the details, the installation process is not a problem. But what if I don't install it on the same machine? I have a database in my existing environment, I would like to use this database to do the scom reporting database, but I do not want to install the scom role on this server, then this can be distributed deployment, that is, the database and scom separation.

The process is similar, except that you don't have to install SQL Server on the scom server, just install the two components:

You may then report the following error when installing Scom ():

The specified SQL Server instance is not valid. Possible causes for this problem include the following:

* SSRS is not configured correctly.

* Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) has been configured for the SQL Server Report server.

* A proxy server has been configured for the SQL Server Report server.

One possible cause of this is that the database does not have a new "Reportserverdb" and "reportservertempdb" of two reporting databases for scom, so we'll go through the Reporting Services Configuration Manager To create a new two database.

Locate "Reporting serveices Configuration Manager" on the scom server, and then click "Change Database"

Because the report server database is attached to this computer by default, but there is no database instance on this computer, an error will be made. We chose to "Create a new report server database" as well.

When you click Next, you can see that the current database server is native, so we need to change the current database server and test the connection. Once the connection is successful, you can proceed to the next step. (PS: Firewall to open the appropriate port when connecting to the background database)

The next database name is OK by default, then click Next.

Check the summary information, confirm the error after you can proceed to the next step, start the new database.
