Some Problems in FC8 use-general Linux technology-Linux technology and application information. The following is a detailed description. Dear Elders, I am involved in linux (New FC8 ). I have encountered many problems. I started from "laruence's second edition of Linux Private food. However, each step in use has a problem. The following meanings are listed:
1. An error occurred when using mplayer: I installed mplayer with yum install Mplayer-gui. In/usr/lib/win32 and/usr/lib/codecs/, the content in windows-all-20071007.zipand all-20071007.tar.bz2 is extracted separately. If the installation process does not exist, an error is returned. After the installation is complete, mplayer/root/XXXX. rmvb plays a picture consisting of ASCII. I don't know how to display the video content normally.
2. when BASH is used, BASH cannot display Chinese content normally or enter Chinese characters. However, many default Chinese folders under the ROOT directory of FC8 can be normally displayed under GTK, in BASH, no more.
3. After using yum install putty to install putty:
[Root @ bogon ~] # Putty
Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to load module "libgnomebreakpad. so": libgnomebreakpad. so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
What's going on? Can I add a shortcut on the desktop to enable putty? How? I don't know where yum puts the program by default.
