Set BIOS to boot from the CD;
Start the computer and place the first disk to the optical drive;
Note:
If a system has been installed on your computer's hard disk, please refer to ① preparation. If your hard disk has not been installed with any system, please refer directly to ② preparation.

1. If you have installed a Windows system with no space available on the hard disk, perform the following steps to first install the hard disk to free up 5 Gb or larger (if you wish ):
Click "Start/set/control panel/management tools/Computer Management/storage/disk management". In the lower right corner of the window, you can see the partition of the entire hard disk. Select the appropriate partition as needed and right-click "delete logical partition" without formatting. Back up important data beforehand.
After sufficient space is available, restart your computer.
2. Set BIOS to boot from the CD;
3. Put the first installation disk into the optical drive;
4. Follow up on the installation steps.

When the installation program runs into a partition, allocate the Linux installation space as needed.
Note: This document uses VMware Workstation for simulated installation. Therefore, select free space in Step 10 to install the Linux system, to avoid damage to your original hard disk data.
Installation and basic settings:
Step 1 start the installer
The following uses Server Installation as an example. After the installation program is started from the CD, the following figure is displayed.

The installation interface has five options for you to choose from:
(1) The "Install or upgrade an existing system" item is used to Install or upgrade an existing system in a graphical manner;
(2) "Install or upgrade an existing system (text mode)" is used to Install or upgrade an existing system in text mode;
(3) "Rescue installed system", used to enter the fault repair system;
(4) "Boot from local drive", used to start from the local disk;
(5) "Memory test", used to test the Memory.
The preceding options can be directly followed Select "Install or upgrade anexisting system" and press Enter the graphical installation method.
Step 2 CD media Detection
After the installation starts, the system usually takes some time to detect various hardware configurations of the computer. After the system identifies the corresponding device, the interface shown in Figure 2 appears.

Click "Next", as shown in figure 3 ".

As shown in figure 4, select "Chinese (Simplified Chinese)" and click "Next ".

Step 5 configure the keyboard
As shown in Figure 5.1, the default format is "American English". It is exactly what we need. Click "next (N )".
