The following describes how to quickly locate the installation path of Debian system software.
Dpkg is also used to install, uninstall, and supply information related to the. deb software package.
Dpkg is a tool to install, build, remove and manage Debian packages.
These two functions are mainly used:
-L | -- listfiles ... List files 'owners' by package (s ).
-L | -- list [ ...] List packages concisely.
Example: we want to find the path of chrome
Www.linuxidc.com @ Ubuntu :~ /Myscript $ dpkg-l | grep chrome
Ii google-chrome-stable 22.0.1229.94-r161065 The web browser from Google
Ii xserver-xorg-video-openchrome 1:0. 2.904 + svn1050-1ubuntu0.1 X. Org X server -- VIA display driver
In this way, we can find the correct package name, and then use the package name to find the address:
Www.linuxidc.com @ ubuntu :~ /Myscript $ dpkg-L google-chrome-stable
/.
