A standalone user can select the language in the confluence that is applied to the interface text and messages. Note that the supported language types are based on the language packs that are installed in confluence.
The language you log in with Confluence is based on some of the following settings, with the following settings sorted by priority from highest to lowest:
- The language attributes that are defined in your user properties. Please note that you will need to sign in again to have your selection set to take effect.
- By selecting the language option in the login confluence interface. Confluence Store your login language settings into a cookie. When your cookie expires, your choice language option will also expire at the same time as the follower.
- The language options that you set in your browser. The browser will send the preferred language option to the head. Confluence will use a list of supported languages. Administrators of Confluence can
confluence.browser.language.enabled
disable this option by setting the System property false
.
- The language that is used by default in your site, which is defined by the Confluence administrator.
