It is simpler to turn on Hyper-threading in the BIOS, as an example of Phoenix-award BIOS setup.

Enter the BIOS and have a hyper-threading technology option in the advanced options to set the key to Enabled. All processing uses hyper-threading technology to increase transmission speed and reduce response time. This technique improves system performance by taking two cores from the processor as two logical processors that can execute instructions concurrently. If this feature is turned off, the processor will use a core to execute instructions. The set value has enabled and disabled two kinds.

The settings in the other bios are roughly the same. After using a PENTIUM4 processor that supports hyper-threading technology, the motherboard BIOS automatically has a new logo for the line processor.
