InfoPath (2): Release and sharing of forms

Source: Internet
Author: User

In the previous article, we briefly introduced how to share and publish a form quickly.

Let's review the form created in the previous article:

In INFOPATH, there are several ways to publish or share data.

1. Publish to a network location or file sharing.

2. Publish to the email recipient list.

3. Publish to the SharePoint form library.

Next, let's take a look at these three release methods. Click the "file" menu and select the release tab. The following page is displayed:

First, we select release to "network location ".

You can click the Browse button to select the position to be released, specify the form Template Name, and click Next to continue the operation.

Click next:

After confirming that the information is correct, click the Publish button. A "Leave Application Form Publish will be generated at the specified location. xsn ", the form published in this way can be transmitted by file sharing, but it can only be filled in by the Infopath Filler described in the previous article, that is to say, you must install the Infopath software before entering the form.

The second method is to publish a form by email.

In this way, the form can be sent to the specified user through the OUTLOOK client. The user who receives the form can directly fill in the Form in OUTLOOK2010 and submit the data. Similarly, this method also requires the form user to install the Infopath runtime environment. I will not introduce this method here.

The third release method is to use Sharepoint Server. This method is similar to the first method for uploading data to the form library,

Select the Sharepoint Server option and enter the Sharepoint address:

Click Next, enter the logon credential, and click OK:

We can see three options: form library, website content type, form template approved by the Administrator, respectively:

1. The first and second options directly upload the form to the form library. The difference is that the first option is directly selected or the new form library is uploaded, the second option is to update all form libraries of the same type.

2. The third option is to save the form locally and then manually upload it to the form library. This method is applicable when you do not have the permission to directly access the form database. For example, the release of a form must be reviewed by the Administrator.

I will provide the first and second items for your reference. In the future, we will use the third method to publish the form.

Form Library

Website content type

After selecting "form template approved by the Administrator", you can select a local address to save the form. Note that the form must be a WEB form. You can select a WEB form template when creating the form, you can also modify it in "advanced form options"-"compatibility.

You can manage the parts in the form with the web part of Sharepoint. We will not modify this part here. Click Next to continue.

Release form.

Through the above operations, we already have two versions of the form, the first form "Leave Application Form Publish. xsn is entered through Infopath Filler, and the second form is "Leave Application Form Publish WEB. xsn can be entered through WEB.

Upload the form to the form library, open the form library in sharepoint, click the upload form template button, select the form file and upload it:

In this way, the form has been successfully uploaded to the sharepoint Server. After activation, the form can be accessed through web.

The above is the release and sharing of infopath forms. Next I will introduce how to submit data in infopath forms. Thank you for your support. Thank you!
