Error with no default gateway when using Outlook 2007 to connect to Exchange Server 2003 and 2007
When you use Outlook 2007 to connect to Exchange Server 2003/2007 as a client, an error message appears:
"The connection to Microsoft Exchange is not available. Your network adapter does not have a default gateway. "
Workaround:
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. Locate and click the following subkey:
Hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\office\12.0\outlook\rpc
3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
4. Type defconnectopts, and then press Enter.
5. Right-click Defconnectopts, and then click Modify.
6. In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
7. Quit Registry Editor.
