1) First, right-click the partition on the computer -- manage -- disk management ()

The size of the disk allocated to Ubuntu should be preferably (20 GB or above) not too small. Please note that ubuntu and windows file systems are completely different, so we should delete the Volume After partitioning ubuntu. At that time, the installed ubuntu partition will not be visible in windows, but you can access windows disks In ubuntu.

2) Prepare the EasyBCD software and the Ubuntu iso image.

Open the EasyBCD software below, and we can see that our computer now has only one "portal" to start ",

Let's Add one to him and select Add Entries (Add a mobile entry point ),

Select NeoGrub and click Install NeoGrub and Save, followed by Configure,

Then a menu. lst file will appear.

We want to edit this file because the system finds this file in ubuntu.

Copy the following English text to overwrite the original one.

Kernel (hd0, 0)/vmlinuz boot = casper iso-scan/filename =/ubuntu. iso ro quiet splash locale = zh_CN.UTF-8

Note:

Ubuntu. iso is your iso name. Do not write it as mine. Change it to yours.

If your first drive letter on some computers is not a drive C, you can see it in disk management. Therefore, you need to change (hd0, 0) to (hd0, 1) during installation) [Assume the second one ].

Disable Save.

Next: Open the prepared iso with the compression software or virtual optical drive, find the casper folder, and copy initrd. lz and vmlinuz (the 64-bit ubuntu system has a suffix that needs to be removed)

To drive C, and then copy the iso to drive C.

Restart and you will see two boot menus for you to choose from. select 2nd NeoGrub.

Then we will wait for a while to see our day-and-night-thinking ubuntu.

By default, there are two documents on the desktop. One is demonstration. We choose to install Ubuntu,

Remember to press Ctrl + Alt + T to open the terminal and enter the code: sudo umount-l/isodevice to unmount the drive where the CD is located, otherwise, partitions cannot be found on the partition page.

Start installation,

Select the installation type, which is customized.

 

The scheme for attaching data to a partition is as follows (taking 30 GB as an example ):

/20G ext4 (root partition can be larger)

SWAP 2G

/Home 8G ext4 (the rest to/home)

Note:

(1) When selecting the device for installing the boot guide, you can select a proper/zone or create a new/boot zone.

(2) If you restart windows, you will find that windows cannot be accessed.

Open the terminal and enter the command

Sudo gedit/etc/default/grub

Modify GRUB_TIMEOUT = "10"
Then enter sudo update-grub in the terminal
The update command will automatically find the windows 7 startup Item. And automatically update the/boot/grub. cfg file. In this way, windows can be restarted.

Finally, go to Window7, open EasyBCD to delete the menu. lst file changed during installation, and press Remove.

Then, delete vmlinuz, initrd. lz, and system iso files from drive C.

You can use EasyBCD to change the Boot item Menu and press the Edit Boot Menu button. You can choose to set Windows 7 as the default Boot option.
