IEEE Standard number 802.1b, now almost all computers support this standard, WiFi provides a bandwidth of up to 11Mbps, usually working in 2.5~4mbps.

The other two standards are 802.1a and 802.1g, which can work up to 54Mbps.

The above three standards have two forms of use, one for access technology and the other for point-to-point configuration.

Access technology: Refers to a single base station, multiple users access.

Point-to-point: Two access points are connected together.

There is also a Wi-max technology, IEEE number 802.16, mainly used for point-to-point interconnection.

Finally, IEEE has developed wireless standard 802.11n with a maximum bandwidth of 540Mbps and a standard 802.11i for a secure wireless network
