For details about the development of Ubuntu7.10Gutsy, see the real chapter.

Except for the previous release of Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon Beta! In addition to some official new features described, I also found some minor improvements.

If you want to experience the latest Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon (newer than Beta), you can go to the following address and select the ISO image of the current day:

Before installation, we should remind you that Gutsy has many bugs! In addition to some minor bugs in the desktop environment (including Compiz Fusion), it is mainly reflected in the installation of some software packages, such as installing a software, but prompts that the dependency is not satisfied. Therefore, when you try to install an independent system, do not overwrite the current system.

A preliminary trial of Gutsy gives me the most intuitive feeling:

I am an Intel graphics card user, and Gutsy has excellent support for it. Not only does it directly set the standard resolution, but it also opens the Compiz Fusion 3D Window Manager. When Feisty is used, 915resolution must be installed to modify the resolution.

Automatically Set the fastest Source: The first thing that had previously installed Feisty was to modify the source. Now Gutsy has helped us get it done, at least the source I connected to Gutsy was very fast and reached my bandwidth limit!

NTFS automatic read/write mounting: Gutsy mounts my Windows partitions in NTFS format directly, so there is no problem with reading and writing.

The intimate feature of account locking-Leave Message

If a computer is used by many people, you may have to go out and lock the computer.

If someone else has something to tell you, you can leave something to say when the lock is locked. A message will appear on the screen when you come back to unlock the lock!
