First, preparatory work
1, Ghost is a well-known backup tool, running in DOS, so you need to prepare a DOS boot disk (such as 98 boot disk)
2, download the ghost8.0 program, size 1.362K, the major software stations have free download, recommended download it to a blank floppy disk, if your hard disk has FAT32 or FAT file system format partition, you can also put it in the root directory of the partition, easy to read this command dos.
3. To reduce the volume of backup files, it is recommended that you disable System Restore, hibernate, clean up temporary files and junk files, and set virtual memory to a non-system zone.
Second, use ghost8.0 backup partition
Using Ghost for system backup, there are both the entire hard disk and the partitioned hard disk. Here to back up my C disk for example, recommend that when your new C-disk (reload) system, you have to use ghost Backup, safekeeping, after the recovery of 10 minutes you also a brand-new system!ghost8.0 support FAT, FAT32 and NTFS file systems.
Set the floppy drive as the first boot disk, skewer into the DOS boot disk and reboot the computer into DOS.
After booting into DOS, remove the DOS boot diskette and insert a floppy disk containing Ghost.exe. Enter "Ghost" after the prompt "A:>_", and you can open the Ghost program, showing the following figure 1

The program information is shown in Figure 1, and the main program interface is displayed by pressing ENTER directly, as shown in Figure 2 below

The main program has four available options: Quit (Exit), Help, Options (option), and Local. Click the local item in the menu, the menu that pops up on the right has 3 subkeys, in which disk indicates that the entire hard disk (that is, the clone of the hard disk), the Partition represents a single partition of the backup hard disk, the check indicates that the hard disk or the backup file is checked, and see if Backup or restore failed due to hard drive damage. I am here to operate on the local disk, should be selected locally, the current default check "" "(font white), press the RIGHT ARROW key to expand the submenu, with the UP or DOWN ARROW keys SELECT, select Local (locally) →partition (partition) →to image (Create mirror) ( This step must not be chosen incorrectly) as shown in Figure 3 below

Make sure that the to image is selected (the font is white), and then enter to display the following figure 4

Eject the hard drive selection window, because I only have one hard drive here, so I don't have to choose, just press the ENTER key and show as shown in Figure 5 below
