The official Google Code blog today opened up a javascript tool used inside Google: Closure compiler. This tool is used in Google's Gmail, Google documentation, and Google Maps. Google hopes that the open-source tool can be used for web development. CommunityIt is helpful.

Closure compiler is a javascript optimizer that compiles Web applications into compressed, high-performance JavascriptCode. The compiler removes Invalid code and overwrites and compresses the remaining code so that Web applications can quickly execute it on the browser's JavaScript Engine.
