If the grub menu is lost, start it manually-Linux general technology-Linux technology and application information. For more information, see the following. I installed RHEL5.0 on vmware and didn't choose to install grub at first. I thought the system will start automatically without dual systems. The result is that the screen is black after the virtual machine starts, there is only a cursor in the upper left corner. After waiting for a long time, you may not be able to start grub. Mount the installation disk, enable the optical drive, select linux rescue, and then select chroot/mnt/sysimage, then grub-install/dev/sda

After the machine is restarted, the grub command prompt is displayed: grub>. I checked some commands online and sorted them out as follows:
