- Move the printer to the client computer and use the driver CD to install the printer driver on the computer. - After the driver is installed completely, re-connect the printer to the server.
- Configure the printer port on the client computer. After the printer is installed on the client, the local port created is "USB001 ". You need to change the printer port to the network port.
If the computer operating system is Windows 98/Me:
1. Click "Start" & rarr; "settings" & rarr; "printer" and find the "HP jet 3740 Series" printer icon;
2. Right-click the printer icon and click "properties. In the displayed "properties" window, click the "details" tab.
3. Go to the "details" page and click "add Port.
4. Enter the printer port in "specify the network path of the printer. If the computer that connects to the Printer is named "PC-1" and the shared Printer name is "HP Printe r", enter "PC-1HP Printer" in this blank text box ".
