1. How to cancel settings after setting a user profile picture in Win8/Win8.1:
Default avatar Directory: C: \ ProgramData \ Microsoft \ User Account Pictures (default User profile ).
However, after you set the profile picture of your local account to a custom profile, you can click "browse" under the profile picture to define only other profiles. You cannot delete or cancel the profile.
Here is a way to restore the default user profile picture of the system:
By default, the public user Avatar directory is invisible to the system. First, you need to open any folder and click View-check the hidden items to display the hidden folder properly. (Remember to deselect the check box to show hidden items)
Go to the C: \ Users \ Public \ public user Avatar directory, and delete the corresponding custom avatar folder under the Directory. (For a single user, delete all folders. For multiple users, delete their corresponding folders)
If you are prompted with insufficient permissions when deleting a directory, you can perform the following operations to improve the folder permission.
Change the owner to Everyone.
Improve the read-only permission of Everyone to full control.
2. How to clear thumbnail records used by Win8/Win8.1 user's profile picture:
The default properties of the thumbnail directory are hidden and invisible. First, you need to open any folder and choose View> Check hidden items to display the hidden folder properly. (Remember to deselect the check box to show hidden items)
Go to the thumbnail record Directory: C: \ Users \ lenovo (account name) \ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft \ Windows \ User profile picture, and delete the corresponding image file under the Directory.
