As we all know, Win8 the input method to carry on the strict classification. Chinese Input method can only add Chinese input method, such as Microsoft Pinyin These, etc. (as shown below).
But in the previous Win7 and XP times, the Chinese input method can be added in English.
So in the Chinese input Method "Chinese-American keyboard" is blocked off by default, some old users may be accustomed to using ctrl+shift to switch input method, now will feel very unaccustomed.
Then we can retrieve the Chinese American keyboard.
1. Open CMD, enter regedit to open Registry Editor;
2. Expand Hkey_current_user/keyboard layout/substitutes, new "string value", the name is 00000804, the value is 00000409;
3. Expand Hkey_current_user/keyboard Layout/preload, new "string value", the name is 1, the value is 00000804 (if "1" already exists, the value is directly updated);
After these are done, and then to see, "Language Options" inside the "Chinese-American keyboard" has come back.
