① Click the Insert tab, in the Header Footer control group, click page number → bottom of the page, drag the scroll bar in the Open preset style to find the strip style and click, and then insert a "banded" style page number. ② Click on the inserted strip style page number, click the Format tab under the New text Box tool that appears, click the shape outline → dashed line in the text box formatting control group, and select a dashed line such as a dashed dotted dot. We can also set the color, thickness, or cancel contour of the contour line (no contour) under the shape outline item, and if the contour is thick enough, you can also set a picture as an outline line.
③ click the shape fill → gradient to select a gradient style directly. You can also click Shape fill → a picture to select a picture directly as the background of the page number style. Of course, you can also click the shape fill → texture, and select a texture as the background of the text box.
④ in the text box formatting control group, click Change Shape to select a basic shape or block of arrows, flowchart, callout, pentagram, and banner as the final shape of the page numbering style. For example, select the up arrow on the block of arrows.
⑤ If you don't think the effect is ideal, you can click Shadow effects to select a shadow effect. You can also select a text box style in the text box style control group.
