How to quickly screen ads on a computer

Change the browsing page style

In today's common Web page elements, there is a very important name for cascading style sheets (CSS). CSS is able to accurately control the layout of Web pages, so as to easily meet the requirements of web designers. It is because the CSS has such a distinctive feature, many users by writing appropriate CSS code, in the browser to access the Web page to load, so easily change the original layout of the page status. Because the page layout has been changed, so remove the original advertising information on the page is also a cinch.

To get the browser to load a third party CSS code, first install a feature extension called stylish. We take the common Google browser as an example, first into the browser app store, enter the keyword "stylish" to search, and then click the "Add to Chrome" button to install it. Small tip:

For some smaller or individual sites, you may not be able to find CSS code through the search box. But because many websites are built by Discuz, WordPress and so on, so you can search the Web site program name Way, to find some more common CSS code information.

Of course, not all the Web site's CSS code, can be found in this site, so we can only find another way. We know that User-agent is part of the HTTP protocol, and when a user accesses a Web site through a browser, it will provide an identity to the Web site of the browser type, operating system and version, CPU type, and so on that the user is using. Now we click on the "User-agent Switcher for Google Chrome" button in the toolbar and in the "Select a user-agent:" List in the pop-up dialog box, select the corresponding UA string information as needed (Figure 3). But here's a reminder that we're modifying the UA to cover the system rather than the browser version, so don't choose the option that contains Windows when you choose. Of course, do not choose the Mobile terminal option, which will modify the layout of the browsing page. In addition, to avoid setting the next time you run the browser, it is recommended that the "Remember last used user-agent at startup" in the dialog box be selected. Options.

If the user does not find the relevant content in the default option, you can first access the Http://t.cn/R5ZC20T (shortened URL processing) from the browser to find and copy the UA information you need. Then click on the menu button in the upper right corner of Google Browser, and then select the "Extender" command from the "Tools" menu in the pop-up menu. So in the pop-up window you can see the Extender Management page, find the list of "User-agent switcher for Google Chrome" application, click the following "Options" command. Click the "New user-agent" button in the pop-up Settings window, set a UA name in the dialog box that pops up, and paste the UA information just copied to save it (Figure 4). Finally, in the Select a user-agent: List, select the UA information that you just customized.

Intercepting AD Federation scripts

In fact, in addition to the above passive interception methods, we can also take the proactive approach to advertising related interception operations. Now a lot of web site advertising, are through the advertising alliance to promote. Web sites only need to add the Ad League script code in the Web page, you can get the benefits by showing the ads. So we only need to intercept the Ad League script code, it can effectively block the display of advertising information.

If the user is using a Google browser, or other browsers derived from chromium, you can install an extension called Scripsafe. Installation does not need to do any setup operation, the user only need to open a Web site to browse, will find the original site inside the ads did not (Figure 5). But at this point, users may find that some of the features in the Web page are unusable. This is because the Scripsafe extension blocks all scripts, but the functionality in the Web page must be scripted. So this time you need to click on the toolbar Scripsafe extension, in the pop-up dialog box click the Green "Allow" button, you can allow the site itself to use the script, so that the site related functions are also normal use (Figure 6).
