Host OS: Windows XP NIC: Local Connection (physical Nic, XP CIS Service provides Internet sharing)

VMware network adapter vmnet8 (Virtual Network Card, used) ---- Nat
VMware network adapter vmnet1 (Virtual Nic, not used)

VMware OS: Windows 2003 NIC: VMWare network adapter vmnet1 (Virtual Nic, Nat connection to host)

Host and virtual machine connection settings are as follows:
(1) host local connection properties ---> "advanced" ---> 'Internet Connection Sharing '-- allow other network users to connect through the Internet connection of this computer: VMware network adapter vmnet8 )( This is important)
VMware network adapter vmnet8 properties ---> "automatically get IP Address" and "automatically get DNS address" (use DHCP to automatically set IP addresses)

(2) VM VMware network adapter vmnet1 properties ---> "automatically get IP Address", "automatically get DNS address" (use DHCP to automatically set IP addresses)
