IIS installation for win7 64-bit flagship edition and ASP + access website Configuration

The new win7 64-bit flagship edition system has been using XP. The new system has a new look, and the interface is also user-friendly, but IIS does not seem to have been used before. The following is my experience in configuring IIS yesterday.

1. Install IIS

The old method is to add and delete Windows components, but in win7 it is called "enable or disable the WINDOWS function"

Control Panel-> Program-> enable or disable windows

If you select Internet Information Service, you do not need to select ASP by default. Expand Internet Information Service-> World Wide Web Service-> application development function, and then select ASP. In this case, an ISAPI extension item is automatically selected. 2. Start IIS

You must also choose Control Panel> system and security> management tools from control panel. Find the Internet Information Service (IIS) Manager

Right-click "website" and choose "add Website" to enter the website name and select the physical path, then, bind a new port such as "8080" because the default port 80 has been occupied by the default website.

Select the newly added website and the following figure appears:

Select "asp" and set the Enable parent path to "true". Then, select "Default document" and add "Index" if necessary. ASP "you do not need to set it if you do not need it.

At this point, the IIS configuration is basically successful. If there is anything not detailed, there are many ways to set it online. Next I will talk about my problems.

The configuration has been completed, but the HTTP 500 Error always occurs when the website is opened. This problem is really depressing to me. In the past, this website was running well under XP, why can't I use it now? According to the online statement, the physical path is not found or the access path is not authorized. Then, many permissions are added to the folder where the website is stored, and even the everyone is not easy to use. It seems that this permission is not a problem. Later, I learned that the original HTTP 500 error message is a "friendly error message", that is, there are many reasons for this error, and then the browser will display http500 without distinction. You can see the real error information by removing the check box before "show friendly HTTP Error information" in the "Internet Options"> "advanced"> Settings "column.

When I access my website again, the real error message is displayed: "ADODB. Connection error '800a0e7a '". The online saying is that the 64-bit operating system does not support the access 32-bit database engine by default, so you have to set it manually.

Unfortunately, there is no c: \ Inetpub \ adminscriptsin the 64-bit win7 flagship edition, and cscript.exe cannot be searched.
