Generally, books that introduce image processing and computer algorithms take two extremes: either heap formula (Principle) or heap code (implementation ). It should be declared that the "heap" here is a neutral term, not a negative term. From my point of view, good books on the market generally focus on principles. This book uses illustrations, mathematical formulas, text descriptions, and appropriate code content to help readers understand the principles of image processing algorithms, for example, the principle of edge detection is illustrated in Chapter 2, and the principle of corrosion expansion processing is also illustrated in Chapter 3. After a concise and clear illustration is used to introduce these basic principles, the book will describe these algorithms with a certain mathematical formula. Note that chapter 3 in the book uses a Pascal-like language named Max, which is very simple. This book is mostly written in C language, and the opencv interface used is also in the 1.0 era. If you want to use the opencv2 interface, You may be disappointed. But as mentioned above, this book focuses on principles.

Readers are generally worried about translation issues when introducing books. In fact, as far as my reading experience is concerned, most of the translators invited by the publishing house are still conscientious and responsible. The quality of translation is very good. Overall, my score for the Chinese version of this book is 4.5 stars, and the half stars are deducted at: 1. Only opencv1 interfaces are used; 2. Chapter 1 translation.
