Today I got a ubuntu7.1 desktop edition and installed it on vmware6.0. It feels good, but it also has some shortcomings.

  1. The installation process is simple. You must first start the optical disc system and then use the optical disc system for installation. However, it takes a long time to complete, and software cannot be customized during the intermediate process.
  2. The system is still very fast to start, faster than fedora8.
  3. The desktop layout is similar to that of fedora8, and the response speed is faster, but it is slower than windows. Open oneProgramIt will take a while to open it.
  4. After reading it online, the 3D desktop looks nice, but it cannot be displayed in my virtual machine.
