Step 1: Install VirtualBox on Linux

1. In most Linux distributions, the official source has VirtualBox. For example, install VirtualBox In Ubuntu.

$ Sudo apt-get install virtualbox

Step 2: download and install Android 4.4 kitkat in VirtualBox

2. This step is quite simple. You just need to download the Android 4.4x86 Kit Kat file (Address) from the androud Sourceforge.net project)

3. to install Android 4.4 kitkat, first start the. iso file you just downloaded, open VirtualBox, create a new virtual machine, and set it according to the following figure:

4. Next, it will ask you about the memory size of your new device. Android 4.4 kikat needs 1 GB of memory to run perfectly, but since my computer only has 1 GB of memory, I can only choose 512 MB.

5. Select "Create a virtual hard drive now" to Create a new hard disk.

6. It will ask you about the new virtual hard disk type and select VDI

7. Now you can set the Virtual Disk size as needed. However, in addition to the space used for installing Apps in the future, at least 4 GB is required to ensure that the system is correctly installed.

8. now that your new virtual device has been created, you can start the download. select the created virtual machine from the list on the left and click Settings> storage. For example, select the image file of android 4.4 kitkat RC2.

9. Click OK to open the machine, start the. iso image, and select "Install" to start installing the system on the virtual machine.

10. Select a partition to install the Android-x86

11. For example, you can see the cfdisk interface. cfdisk is a partition tool. We will use it to create a New hard disk partition for installing Android 4.4. Now, click "New"

12. Select "Primary" as the partition type.

13. Next, set the partition size.

14. now we have to create a new boot for the hard disk so that it can be written to a new partition table, click "Bootable" to mark the new partition for the boot, you will not notice any changes, however, the pilot tag will be automatically assigned to the selected partition.

15. Click "Write" to Write a new partition to the hard disk.

16. It will ask you if you are sure, Enter "yes" and click Enter

17. Now our new hard disk has been created. Click Quit and you will see a similar display. Select the created partition for installing Android and click Enter.

18. Select "ext3" as the hard disk file system and format it

19. It will ask you if you need to install the GRUB starter. Of course, select Yes. If not, you will not be able to start the new system. So select Yes and click Enter.

20. Finally, it will ask you whether to set/system partition to write data. If yes is selected, it will help you reduce a lot of trouble after installing the system.

21. The installation will start its task. After the installer is finished, choose restart. During the test, "Run-Android x86" does not work, so you have to restart it.

22. we have installed Android 4.4 KitKat RC2. The problem is that VirtualBox will continue loading. the iso image file is not started from the virtual hard drive. To solve this problem, choose Settings> storage> remove iso file.

23. You can start your virtual device and run your Android system.

24. Before using Android, you need to complete a wizard for configuration. You will see the following screen. The problem now is that the mouse cannot work in android 4.4 kitkat, which means we need to demonstrate our superb keyboard trial skills. First, select the language. You need to use the keyboard's upper key and lower key to go to the next step, right-click and move the cursor, and select Enter
