Install Win XP through virtualbox in fedora14 and share files

The procedure is as follows:

(1) first download virtualbox (http://www.virtualbox.org/), and then install virtualbox;

(2) Yum install dkms

(3) Run virtualbox on the control terminal. On the displayed page, click Create. perform operations in sequence based on the graphic interface until the execution is complete. In the middle, the selected memory is 1 GB, the hard disk is 30 GB, and dynamic scaling is enabled;

(4) Click start to install Win XP and close XP after installation;

(5) set file sharing as follows:

 

5.1 install vboxguestadditions. ISO Open virtualbox software, setting-storage, add/usr/share/virtualbox/vboxguestadditions. ISO and click OK;

5.2 set the shared folder,/home/XX/share-vbox, XX as the user's name, and share-vbox as the folder name.

5.3 settings in XP: Click Start In virtualbox to open the virtual Window XP. Click Start-my computer. A file is displayed, virtualbox guest additions, and click Start installation.

5.4) after virtualbox guest additions is installed, click Start-my computer- ing network drive. You can select any drive. Enter Z here
Enter/vboxsvr/share-vbox in the folder. Note/vboxsvr is required. Share-vbox is consistent with the preceding settings.

 

After the installation is complete, you can see the folder under share-vbox.
