2. Disk partitioning

The first part of the installation system must be partitioning first. I recommend DiskGenius as the partitioning tool. The size of the disk allocated to Ubuntu is preferably larger than 40 GB.

There is nothing to say about the partitioning process. I think everyone will remember to format the disk allocated to ubuntu ;,

3. Add a startup Item

Step 1 open EasyBCD: Select Add new entry (add a mobile entry point), as shown in

Step 2 select NeoGrub, click Install, and click Configure:

Then a menu. lst file will appear:

Copy the following English text to overwrite the original one.

Title Install Ubuntu
Root (hd0, 1)
Kernel (hd0, 1)/vmlinuz boot = casper iso-scan/filename =/ubuntu-15.04-desktop-amd64.iso ro quiet splash locale = zh_CN.UTF-8
Initrd (hd0, 1)/initrd. lz

Note:

Ubuntu-15.04-desktop-amd64.iso is the name of the file you wrote

Hd0, 1 This is my drive letter C. Each person may be different. You can use DiskGenius to watch your drive letter.

4. Copy the Startup File

Step 1 use the compression software to open the downloaded image file, find the Casper folder, and put initrd in it. extract lz and vmlinuz to drive C. the disk folder is also extracted to drive C, and the entire iso file is copied to drive C.

Decompress these files to drive C:

Copy to drive C:

Note: After the ubuntu-15.04, vmlinuz is suffixed with. efi. As shown in the same way: vmlinuz. efi

Solution 1: Delete the suffix. efi.

Solution 2: Change kernel (hd0, 1)/vmlinuz boot = casper iso-scan/filename =/ubuntu-15.04-desktop-amd64.iso ro quiet splash in the menu. lst file to vmlinuz. efi

After the preparation is complete, you can restart the computer.

5. Prepare for restart and Installation

Step 1: After the restart, you will see two boot menus for you to choose from. Select the NeoGrub Boot Loader option.

After a while, you can see that install ubuntu presses the enter key.

Step 2: Press Ctrl + Alt + T to open the terminal and enter the code: sudo umount-l/isodevice to unmount the drive where the disc is located (note, here-l is L in lower case) this command is required or cannot be installed;

Turn Off interruption;

6. Install Ubuntu

Step 1: Click the desktop installation tab:

Step 2: select the language. I chose English. It is recommended that you select this language if you have used English. Actually, I am a scum ....

Step 3: choose not to contact the internet cafe. It takes a long time to install the internet.

Step 4: select the installation type and use other options. In this way, the windows system will not be overwritten.

(The pictures I cut are missing. The pictures on the Internet are the same)

Step 5: partition; this is the most difficult step.

Select "free space"-click "New partition" to first create a "/" partition (generally 20 GB or more). The file format is EXT4 log file.

Select "free space" and click "New partition" to continue creating the swap space (swap). (2G recommended) the file format is swap.

Select "free space" and click "New partition" to create the "/home" partition. (The remaining space is provided to the honme file.) the file format is EXT4 log file.

If you want to install the boot item, you 'd better choose the hard disk where your drive C is located;

After the partition is complete, click Continue:

Part 6: Click next-next. Of course, one of the user settings is your login name and password settings.

After the installation is complete, click restart. After the restart, the first startup Item changes to Ubuntu installation successful;

When deleting Ubuntu on both systems, you must first change the first startup Item to Windows.
