Installation and setting of scim for Fedora9 Chinese Input Method

After studying for a long time, I finally completed the Chinese input under Fedora9. The scim installed by default does not seem to have any Chinese input. Therefore, it is manually installed. 1. Run the yum install scim-lang-chinese command to install the chinese input.

2. Choose system> items> personal> input method to use scim.

The [hotkey] setting in [front-end> global settings] is awkward. In the [select input method SWITCH] dialog box, click [...] button. In the displayed dialog box, select the Hot Key (for example, CTRL + ALT) on the keyboard. After the keyboard is relaxed, click the [add] button and click [OK].

3. After the system is restarted, press the selected hot key to enable the input method.
