- For files that already exist before the content approval is turned on, and the file has not been manipulated, the status is approved when turned on
- For files that already exist before the content approval is turned on, and the status of the previous operation is preserved in the file attributes (the state that the multiple switches produce), the original state remains.
- The status is daft for newly uploaded files with content approval enabled and MinorVersion turned on
- For newly uploaded files that have the content approval open and no small version turned on, the status is pending
