Instead, it is how to change the procurement, management, and O & M modes to better promote and apply virtualization technology. China Mobile's provincial branches and group departments have high targets and expectations for server virtualization applications, but there are also some concerns, mainly manifested in: (1) it is difficult to effectively share and dynamically allocate resources; (2) the overall utilization is too low; (3) the utilization of resources in different systems is not balanced; (4) It is difficult to meet the resource needs of business peaks. Virtualization brings IT resource management to a new level, which has a great impact on the infrastructure and operation of operators and will greatly change the IT management model of operators, this includes the system architecture, how to launch diversified telecommunications services, and how to determine tariff policies. Currently, 3G and full-service operations bring huge development opportunities for IT applications in the communication industry. From the existing typical deployment perspective, virtualization technology not only achieves efficient and flexible IT systems, in addition, both low cost and green IT have also brought about new problems. Virtualization should take it o & M management first. In the context of China Mobile's vigorous development of cloud computing, virtualization should be the basis. First, we should consider and respond to new problems, and strengthen the technology and management support in the O & M process, to promote the O & M of mobile management information systems to a higher level.


2 virtualization Problem Analysis

Heterogeneous environments increase the difficulty of managing virtualized resources.

The security of the entire virtual environment is not considered much. When a physical machine is intruded, all the applications and other resources on the virtual machine will be damaged. Therefore, the information security requirements are greatly enhanced after virtualization.


(3) The spread of virtual machines without control. After a management enterprise deploys virtualization technology, the connection between underlying hardware and the software running above will inevitably be weakened. Virtualization technology can help enterprises reduce the number of physical systems, but it does not reduce the number of all systems. On the contrary, because the difficulty and cost of creating a new system environment are greatly reduced, the number of virtual systems in the entire IT environment may increase dramatically. Without good control, virtualization will bring chaos to infrastructure management. The connection between software and hardware is cut off, and the server environment becomes less fixed and complex. Virtualization can optimize processes such as service configuration and patch distribution, but IT also increases the complexity that IT professionals may not think.


(4) It is difficult to manage and monitor virtual machines. More and more enterprises are trying to achieve server virtualization, but it also brings about problems such as increasing system architecture, increasing business operation burden, and increasingly difficult to monitor job processes.


(5) The full management of virtual systems is the most important factor that determines the success of the virtual environment. Through Effective resource configuration and integration, the structure of the virtual environment is automatically grasped, visualization of physical and virtual environments can be achieved to achieve efficient management of complex virtualization environments. It is very difficult to locate the physical server on which a virtual machine runs at any time. This requires a management solution that not only manages the original hardware environment, but also centrally manages the virtualization environment, provides a single view for managers to show the impact of physical and virtual IT infrastructure on the services they support. This unified management method can connect the virtual environment with the physical environment, build an end-to-end service model, and provide excellent infrastructure visualization services. It helps enterprises reduce troubleshooting time and shorten average repair time, reduce rr costs and improve IT service quality and predictability.


(6) the complexity of implementation and configuration may be the main disadvantage of virtualization. Creating a cluster framework, managing the connectivity between hosts, and configuring shared storage is not a simple task. It may involve multiple teams in the Organization. The increased complexity is largely a technical task. Therefore, if something is omitted, the system stability will be affected.

(8) new requirements and challenges in virtual environments although virtualization can fundamentally improve management, management in virtual environments still faces some new challenges. In a shared environment, any fluctuations in demand can be seen everywhere. Poor management policies may cause a huge chain reaction.
