JSR 208: Java business integration (jbi)

Java business integration (jbi, Java business integration) technical specifications define the SOA service-oriented integration kernel and composition architecture. It provides public message path architecture, service engines, and bundled plug-ins. ProgramInterfaces and compound service description mechanisms have been standardized, so that multiple services can be combined into a single executable and auditable unit of work.

Jbi is not an interface designed for developers. More accurately, it provides a system and a series of interfaces for Integrators in jbi containers. So people can gather all the parts they need and make a general solution. For example, in theory, you can integrate an infrastructure from the BPEL engine, on the EJB container, or on the data transmission product, and it is suitable for integration.
