Lamp-apache restricting access to a directory

There are two ways to prevent users from accessing certain directories, assuming that the directory is/data/www/tmp

Block all IPs directly for the/tmp/directory, or some only allow certain IP access

<directory "/data/www/tmp" >

AllowOverride None

Options None

Order Deny,allow

Deny from all

</Directory>

Block with rewrite module

<ifmodule mod_rewrite.c>

Rewritecond%{request_uri} ^.*/tmp/.* [NC]

Rewriterule. *-[F]

</IfModule>
