I downloaded the source code package of samba, nfs, and other management tools online and locally compiled it into an rpm package for installation.
The installation process is correct, but the system does not reflect any information when the management tool icon is opened. In the shell, type system-config-samba. The result is displayed only:
System-config-samba requires a currently running X server.
Type system-config-nfs to display:
System-config-nfs requires an X Server currently running.
What's going on? How can this problem be solved ?? I think the software package is okay.
