Login:error-failed to initialize policy manager. (Ifor_pm_fatal).
Why the above error occurred:
1/etc/ifor_pmd binary file is interrupted or lost.
Solving method
The Policy Management Program (/ETC/IFOR_PMD) must exist and run in the system. In Software Manager
Select Software->verify Software and select broken/missing Symbolic links.
This will examine and repair the/ETC/IFOR_PMD and/opt/k/sco two-level connections.
If the If _pwd binary is indeed missing from the/opt/k/sco directory tree, you can use the Customextract command to install a separate file from the installation disk.
Customextract-m/DEV/CD0/OPT/K/SCO/UNIX/*/PMD/IFOR_PMD
After the installation is complete, check the links in/etc/with Software Manager.
2 keyword file or directory missing
Directory/PMD and/or its contents, life celebrity Plumbing ipcct_pipe,pmdct-pipe,list_pipe and files
Ifor_pmd.pid is interrupted or lost.
If the directory/PMD exists, but there is no file content, you should stop and restart/ETC/IFOR_PMD to restore
them, in the following ways:
1. Ps-ef | grep IFOR_PMD | Grep-v grep
The following two lines are returned:
Root 1 0 Aug-29? 00:00:00/etc/ifor.pmd
Root 0 Aug-29? 00:00:04/etc/ifor_pmd
Any of these numbers will vary depending on the system, except that one of the 3rd Fields has a record that should be "1"
2. Kill the Son IFOR_PMD
Kill 42
3. At some point, run the PS command again. You will see the new IFOR_PMD is running.
4 Check the contents of the/PMD directory. You should see 4 files:
Ipcct_pipe pmdct-pipe lst_pipe Ifor_pmd.pid
2 The root directory file system is set to read-only.
In general, check the file/etc/default/filesys to detect the Non-default root file system settings.
such as Mountflags=-r or mntopts= "-O-Ro" can be. If these settings are found, delete them.
