First of all, it is limited by the maximum transmission distance of 100 meters, more than 100 meters of its transmitted video signal attenuation will be very large; In addition, the user also needs to buy impedance matching device, so that the interface of the monitoring equipment and twisted-pair system compatible, as well as the building automation and other weak systems have their own wiring system, usually its wiring topology for the general style , that is, in the 2-core line can be series of many control units, and the integrated wiring system is a star-type topology, requiring each 8 core wire can only be one device. This shows that if the building automation and other weak systems also use star-type topology, it will require a large number of cables, so that the whole system costs soar.

I remember last year is still hype "Super 5", and this year with Gigabit Ethernet standards in the vicinity, cabling manufacturers have also launched to support Gigabit Ethernet "6" or even "7" wiring system. The introduction of advanced products is a good thing, but I would like to remind domestic users not to be carried away by the manufacturer's hype, in the choice of wiring products calmly to consider whether the need for such high-end system.





In fact, Class 5 and Super 5 systems have been able to meet the transmission requirements of Gigabit Ethernet, and whether it is 622M, 1G ATM or Gigabit Ethernet, currently can only be used as a backbone of the network, and for the real to the terminal level system, I am afraid that the current domestic users very few people can use the real exclusive 10Mbps rate, most of the LAN still use the shared 10Mbps rate of networking. So when a user really wants to transmit data at 1000Mbps at a level to a terminal system, I'm afraid that the Class 6 system is already obsolete. Even if some users now need 1000Mbps transmission rate level to the terminal system, but also to transfer some multimedia information (that is, voice, data and images), which is really some "flak hit mosquitoes" feeling. At present, multimedia information transmission applications (such as VOD, videoconferencing, etc.) on the 25Mbps ATM and 10Mbps Ethernet can be achieved, it is difficult to imagine the user will now use 1000Mbps rate to pass something.





In addition, 6 categories, 7 categories of standards have not been formally introduced, 6 types of system installation specifications and methods are not currently formed, more importantly, 6 or 7 types of systems testing specifications and methods have not yet. Currently commonly used testing equipment is still based on the 100MHZ standard, so even if the user in the project using 6 categories of products, it is not known whether the wiring system used to meet the 6 type of system requirements. What kind of product is 6 products, I am afraid to ask who also said not clear.





Besides, I would like to talk a little bit about my personal views. I think with the rapid development of communication technology, copper cable will eventually be eliminated, the main reason for the elimination is the bandwidth, transmission distance and electromagnetic divergence and interference problems, and instead of it would be optical fiber or even the future of some kind of transmission medium. Data show that all optical networks have emerged in the United States, and 10Gbps of Ethernet has been created in the laboratory. All fiber-optic LANs will be more attractive to both manufacturers and users.
