For example, for Windows 98 and earlier operating systems, the "my computer" icon on the desktop is on top of "My documents", and the new operating system Windows 2000/XP is reversed, this is not a good news for the "new owner" who is used to Windows 98 operations.

In the past, we could click on the top left corner of the desktop to open the "my computer" window. Now, due to "inertia", "misoperations" often occur ". Click "start", select "run", enter "Regedit" in the input box, press enter, open registry editor, and expand the primary key in the left window in sequence: hkey_classes_root \ CLSID \ {export d8fba-ad25-11d0-98a8-0800361b1103}, find a DWORD key value named "sortorderindex" in the right window, through this key value, we can easily control the relationship between my computer and my documents. If it is changed to "48" in hexadecimal notation, the "my computer" icon is located under "My documents", and the original "54" value is vice versa. After modification, close the registry and you will see the result.

Note: This operation also affects the sorting of the address bar drop-down list and the "search range" drop-down list in the window.
