Symptoms:
When you browse the ASP page that invokes FileSystemObject,
The request to the page is stopped and eventually causes the page to timeout in the browser.
Reason:
This problem is because the Norton Antivirus software Script Blocking
Functionality prevents script operations from accessing the file system, such as using FileSystemObject.
This problem occurs not only in an ASP network application, but also in other technologies, such as
Windows Script.
Note: This problem occurs even when Norton Anitvirus is banned.
Solve:
To resolve this issue, please contact the Norton Antivirus Software Support Center.

How to disable Script Blocking in Norton Antivirus 2001
Situation
You want to ban Norton Antivirus Script Blocking
Solve:
To prohibit the Norton Antivirus 2001 Script Blocking:
1. Start Norton Antivirus.
2. Click Option. If the menu appears when you click Option, please click on Norton antirus.
The Norton Antivirus Options menu appears.
3. Click Script Blocking.
4. Cancel the "Enable Script Blocking (recommended)." Option.
5. Click OK.
