KDE3.5.8-Linux general technology-Linux technology and application information. I upgraded Kubuntu hard ware yesterday, but I didn't expect any major changes, so I didn't restart it. After relaxing in XP today, I logged on to Kubuntu to work and chat, and found that the change was not small.
1. Splash window
The background has changed from pure color to abstract painting, which is a bit like the hot air in the House in winter to the window glass. I thought it was a dragon first, but it does have a Chinese taste, I have always liked Kubuntu blue, and it looks very elegant.
2. Start Menu
The release of KDE4 has a huge impact. There is still some distance between KDE4 and actual use. We can port some interfaces to the mature KDE3 first. So there is such a Start Menu. At first, I thought that KDE4 has been directly used by Kubuntu hard. Later, I checked the KDE version number in help to see whether it was 3.5.8.
The menu response speed is quite fast and there is basically no delay (I suspect it is too fast, sometimes the mouse shakes, And I have switched from My Favorite to Recently Used ). When the main menu is displayed, the switchover of the category menu is triggered by hovering the cursor over the menu. However, when you open "All Programs", You need to manually click to open the sub-menu or return to the upper level, which is inconvenient or uncomfortable. You can drag the menu to adjust the size.
In general, it is still cool.
PS: the reason why Kubuntu cannot be used again is that Linux cannot basically meet the needs of my computer. It is better to use it first and grow with her. The Chinese garbled Bug of the RSS seader has been fixed for the Kubuntu hard drive installed a few days ago. The doldolphin menu is still in Chinese, but the favorites are still in English, and there is still a prompt that cannot be saved; KDM cannot be started because of No Resume Image. It is still tenacious. I still have to manually enter startx or sudo kdm.
