1. Get root permissions

Download the patch package above, decompress the package, and place the 5 files obtained from the package in the N900 32G hard drive root directory (connect to the computer through the data cable, N900 will be recognized as mobile memory ).

After the file is copied, disconnect the data line and perform the following operations:

On the N900 mobile phone, go to File Manager and click root for Nokia N900. Install. The system automatically starts the program manager for installation. In this case, you need to connect to the network for download (WIFI or GPRS can be used, and GPRS only supports cmnet ). After the above installation is complete, click exit File Manager in the upper right corner to exit and enter xterminal (the following commands are many, please note the absolute path). # In the following command indicates space.

TIPS: if the following command does not need to be deleted in the whole line due to incorrect input, you can adjust the cursor position through the left and right arrows of the keyboard to delete a single letter. Before we have copied the file to the phone, now on the N900 phone, go to File Manager, run click maemo-chinese-simplified-support-chinook.install, the system automatically starts the program manager for installation. You are advised to manually restart after installation. Press SHIFT + space in the lower left corner of the keyboard to switch to the Chinese input method.

After the input method is installed. In this case, if you think the font is poor (depending on your preferences), you can go to the program manager to find the font file "TTF" in the installed program (the leftmost one), delete it, and restart it.
