/Etc/named. conf -- set the file

/Etc/sysconfig/named -- whether to start chroot and additional parameters, which are controlled by this file

/Var/named/-- the database file is stored in this directory by default.

/Var/run/named -- named. pid-file is placed in this directory by default when the program is executed.

You can view the directory specified by chroot by viewing/etc/sysconfig/named.

# Vi/etc/sysconfig/named

ROOTDIR =/var/named/chroot

In this way, all the information required by the bind program will be:

/Var/named/chroot/etc/named. conf

/Var/named/chroot/var/named/zone_file1

/Var/named/chroot/var/named/zone_file ......

/Var/named/chroot/var/run/named /......

However, you can still use/etc/named. conf to set your DNS

Because the system will actively help you link/var/named/chroot/etc/named. conf to/etc/named. conf

DNS server summary:

A> the main configuration file is/etc/named. conf.

B> Each positive and reverse solutions require an archive, and the archive file name is set by/etc/named. conf.

C> the current BIND program has been chroot. For details, refer to/etc/sysconfig/named.

D> if no database exists during DNS query, go to the root (.) or forwarders host for query.

E> setting up a DNS server requires authorization from the upper-layer DNS to become a valid DNS server. Otherwise, it can only be internal

F> check the information in/var/log/messages if the named is successfully started.
