Irontec launched an open source project, PHP for Android (PFA), to bring PHP to the Android platform. The PFA Project also provides PHP support for Android Scripting Environment (ASE) with apk tools and documentation. Take a look at this video below to start the PHP tour on Android.
The APK and source code provided by the project are on Phpforandroid.net, and the website also provides an unofficial ASE that supports PHP 5.3. Installing Android 1.5 or more versions of the phone or simulator can be run PHP for Android, interested in completely can do a hands-on try.
This should be a boon for people who write PHP, and they can use their craft to join mobile apps to develop this frontier position. However, I do not know the details of this project, more concerned about the efficiency of PHP for Android, which is also a necessity for mobile phone applications to consider a problem.
