I recently purchased a new server. most servers and PCs do not have optical drives. I used usb to install the system this time.
The server performs raid 1.
1. prepare a USB flash drive of about 8 GB;
2. download a system in the http://www.centoscn.com/CentosSoft/iso/2014/0708/3266.html, I use a CentOS-7.0-1406-x86_64-DVD.iso;
3, download a CentOS7.0 U disk burning tool; http://www.centoscn.com/CentosSoft/tool/2014/0720/3325.html
4, the use of CentOS7.0 U disk burning tools, will download the system, burn into the U disk; then, the CentOS-7.0-1406-x86_64-DVD.iso file also copy into the U disk root directory; U disk is better than 4G;
5. go to the bios settings page of the server and set it to usb boot;
6. Insert the burned USB flash drive into the server and restart the system;
7. when the following interface appears, press Tab,
|
CentOS 7 Install CentOS7Test this media & install CentOS 7 Troubleshooting Press Tab for full configuration options on menu items. |
If you install it directly, please refer to: http://www.centoscn.com/image-text/setup/2014/0724/3342.html
8. if you use UltraISO to burn data
|
> Vmlinuz initrd = initrd. img inst. stage2 = hd: LABEL = CentOS \ x207 \ x20x86_64 rd. live. check quiet |
Text appears at the bottom of the screen, modify this line of text
|
> Vmlinuz initrd = initrd. img inst. stage2 = hd:/dev/sdc4 quiet |
.
Note that the usb device names of each computer are different. I use/dev/sdc4. If you are not sure about your usb device name, you can change the text
|
> Vmlinuz initrd = initrd. img linux dd quiet |
After you press enter, the screen will display the interface you choose. you can try it one by one.
9. then, you can install it smoothly.
In summary, CentOS7 is much easier to install than previous versions. However, the system also has some changes.
Note,
1. I installed the system in raid 1. after entering the installation interface, a dialog box is displayed, prompting "An Unknown Error Has Occurred", the top line of detail info, exception "/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/pyanaconda/bootloader. py ". This information appears, probably because some raid data in your hard disk conflicts with the installer. Then I formatted the entire disk with diskgenius. Finally, reinstall and finally see the language selection interface.
