The appendix contains the source code of all examples in the book. I provide the MS EVC project file, you can open these pre-configuration files. All examples are designed for Windows CE 4.2, Pocket PC 2003, and Smartphone 2003.

In addition to examples, the CD also contains free EVC. This is the same as the version you downloaded from the Microsoft Site or purchased through the CD. You can regard this work as a gift. The Platform SDK for Pocket PC 2003 is also included.

The CD also contains a startcd program that provides a graphical interface for you to access the content in the CD. If you enable the windows automatic run function, the program runs automatically when you insert the disc into the optical drive. If you cannot run it automatically, go to the CD root directory and run startcd.exe. The readme.txt file provides more information for the content in CD, introduces the system requirements of included tools and sdks, and the support information for included products.

The following are the system requirements for installing and running Ms EVC. Note that EVC runs on Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003.

* PC with Pentium processor: Pentium 150 MHz or higher is recommended.
* Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 (or later) or Windows Server 2003
* 32 MB memory, 48 MB recommended
* Hard disk space: the minimum size is 360 MB, and the size is 720 MB.
* Optical Drive
* For VGA or higher-resolution monitors, s VGA is recommended.
* Microsoft mouse or compatible with mouse devices.
