Qml, a programmer who is just a programmer?

It has been time for qml to appear. I have participated in two qml trainings within Nokia, but have never been able to use it in real work. Compared with the traditional qt gui programming, what is the future of qml?

I. qml: The End of GUI programmers?

As we all know, in the past, GUI development was inseparable from the cooperation of UI designers and programmers. Although most qters are always integrated with uidesign and coding during application development, what is understandable is that, programmers are more specific than coding.

There are always some programmers who do not program for programming. This is also one of the original intentions of the author in this article. For most programmers who are not good at uidesign, they are also trying to design their UI, and even understand some UX. Of course, this is good for the company, but for professional projects, I think, the project manager will not let programmers become the UI Designer to save manpower.

The emergence of qml is obviously to reconcile this conflict, and its original intention is to split the design and encoding into two parts. But at the same time, a new problem is introduced. It is to recruit a professional UI Designer and let them start learning qml. After all, they may understand more CSS than you; or, turn some "powerful" engineers into multiple UI design experts. After all, they have also used QT style sheet, and they are also well versed in CSS design.

2. What is the UI Designer of halfway home?

UI designers should focus on UX And uidesign. For a common UI Designer, their work involves much more tools than coding. In addition, it is not expected to participate in the encoding. However, the emergence of qml seems to have overturned the fact that UI Designer understands some coding. After all, CSS is its specialty and Real programmers should not be involved in it.

The UI Designer has learned how to write qml code, which makes it much easier to work. Generally, programmers can understand and understand the CSS syntax. If one day, UI designers get tired of coding and quit their work to focus on UX research and uidesign, so that programmers can make up for this vacancy. Is this one of qml designs?

3. What about qml?

Programmers need to accept new things and follow new requirements. Technology is not born for technology, but to cater to more markets. Have you been tempted by qml? Do you really understand?

I don't understand. You are a UI Designer? Try again.
