Recently in a book translated by VMware Vsan, the term terms I use the official Chinese version of the client software prevail. However, the problem arises, the same English expression in different Chinese version of the client software, and even the same client software translation is not the same.
For example, standby should be translated into standby or standby?
The English version of the Web client is like this:
650) this.width=650; "title=" image "style=" border-right-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;border-top-width:0px; " Border= "0" alt= "image" Src= "Http://img1.51cto.com/attachment/201405/18/975660_1400385216woyt.png" width= "818" height= "221"/>
In the Chinese version of the same interface, 3 standby incredibly in a page there are 2 different translations.
650) this.width=650; "title=" image "style=" border-right-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;border-top-width:0px; " Border= "0" alt= "image" Src= "Http://img1.51cto.com/attachment/201405/18/975660_1400385216hP42.png" width= "781" height= "285"/>
Let's go to the Chinese version of vsphere client to see:
Standby adapter translated to standby adapter during vswitch configuration
650) this.width=650; "title=" image "style=" border-right-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;border-top-width:0px; " Border= "0" alt= "image" Src= "Http://img1.51cto.com/attachment/201405/18/975660_140038521647Dm.png" width= "540" height= "668"/>
In the Chinese version of the vsphere Web client, the same location is translated into an alternate adapter
650) this.width=650; "title=" image "style=" border-right-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;border-top-width:0px; " Border= "0" alt= "image" Src= "Http://img1.51cto.com/attachment/201405/18/975660_1400385217n6GY.png" width= "960" height= "614"/>
I am personally inclined to spare. But if you use standby, it is not. Or would you please unify the students of the VMware Chinese translation group?
P.S. The same problem also occurs with teaming translations, where vsphere client is translated into bindings and vsphere Web client is translated into groups (as can be found above). I am inclined to use binding, group of Chinese meaning is too vague, not tied into a link so direct.
