Ubuntu is now the best Linux Desktop. Now Ubuntu is 7.10. However, considering that the time for new users will soon pass, you always need to use linux to really do things, or CentOS makes people feel more at ease.
3. Others
Fedora and Debian are also good versions. If you have time, try them. In particular, Fedora is undeniable. The Fedora release represents industry standards. Currently, ora is going to be 8.
SUSE is not fun. I can't find any download on the Internet. It's so cool. I don't like it.
