Red Hat: configure the image media as the yum source and hatyum

Cause

When an application is deployed into the virtual pool, the gcc compiling environment and telnet remote service are missing from the virtual machine.

Solution

To facilitate the installation of other missing services on the virtual machine in the future, we recommend that you configure the yum source.

Procedure

Cd/etc/yum. repos. d/

3. Modify the file vi, add the image in media to a new yum source, and enable

Vim rhel-source.repo.

4. Run the yum list command to check whether the yum source is successfully added.

5. Install the yum source after the configuration is successful.

Yum-y install gcc * yum-y install telnet *

6. Run the following command to start the telnet service.

Service xinetd start

7. Compile the program and telnet the program.
